Life is full of twists and turns that can take a toll on your health

– if you allow it to.

How do you take care of you?

On leave until September 2025 – Not accepting clients

Welcome! I am so glad you are here. My name is Mary Cranmer-Byng and I am a Registered Dietitian and yoga teacher based out of Hamilton, Ontario.

Whoever you are, whatever you do, one thing we can all likely agree on is that your health is key to enjoying life. To me, health is not just physical, but includes your mind and attitude as well. As defined by the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Health includes nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, social connection, mindset, and so much more.

Some of key aspects of taking care of ones body and mind are:

1) Eat foods your enjoy, and the nourish your whole self. Food is a part of culture, family, and community. Food connects us and gives us energy and nutrients to live our lives. We are meant to enjoy food.

2) Move your body. Finding activities you enjoy will turn moving into something you can do into something you need to do. Whether playing a sport, hiking in the woods, or flowing on a yoga mat, your body and mind will thank you.

3) Listen to your body. Tune into what it is asking for – a big salad? A cat nap? Then set yourself up to give your body what it needs.
